Index Match, Vlookup’s Bulkier Cousin | Kanza Akhwand

In my previous post i talked about Vlookup and how easy it is to use and learn, in this post i want to talk about Index Match. In my personal opinion index match is easier to use than vlookup and it works better on larger data sets.

It’s simple enough to remember, type index and select the range from which you need the data in Table A, type match and select the vlookup value from Table B, then select column which contains the lookup value in table A.

The end value will be either 0 or 1. 0 if we want an exact match and 1 if we want an approximate match.
